The APP sensors are located in a TAC module mounted to the accelerator pedal bracket. There are three individual APP sensors within the TAC module. Three separate signal circuits, low reference circuits, and 5v reference circuits are used to determine the accelerator pedal position.

The Chevy 8.1-L V8 engine has a problem with carbon building up in the throttle body. This carbon problem makes the throttle body valve stick in place. This allows too much air into the engine cylinders, causing the engine to misfire. Once more air is permitted into the engine, more fuel is allowed to enter the cylinder heads.

Sep 17, 2009 · It has RVC (regulated voltage control, the "smart" alternator control module) so that means it has to be at least a 2005, and at the most a 2007 because its an LS1-style harness (GMT-800). I might take the part number to the GM dealer and see if they can look up what applications it was used in. I bought a TAC module and pedal assembly from a 2005.
